Matt Ryan, candidate for Kingston Alderman in Ward 4, has been booted off the GOP line after a successful challenge over his petitions. The reason is still unclear why the signatures were thrown out but I will have full details tomorrow. Democrat, Shirley Whitlock is looking like she is in good shape to be Kingston's next Ward 4 Alderman. On another note, Matt Ryan held a fundraiser at "The Basement" which was poorly attended....but that may be the location. The Basement's location is the old "Forum" known for it's drug activity and many police calls. Great spot for a candidate to hold a fundraiser, huh?

Democratic Voter of the Ward and as someone
who signed for you to get on the ballot as a
Democrat why would you take the Republican

How could you promote a new bussiness in your own ward Don,t you know all the other democrates have their fancy fundraisers on booze cruises or 250.00 a plate shindigs up at the manor? not that anyone from the 4th ward could afford them but wow a future Alderman who is supporting and promoting a new bar in his neighborhood who would have thought.
ReplyDeleteMatthew Ryan is Still a proud Democrat cross endorsed by the Republicans and by The Working Family Party and that is all that really matters, no one else endorsed Rev Whitlock except the Mayor and his good old boys from all the other Wards who took it aupon themselves to decide what was best for the 4th Ward. over the advice of their own Democratic Committee or the people who live in that Ward. Ryan was the choice of the Democratic search party committee and has the vote of the people of the 4th Ward. Jeremy you even voted yes for him I have heard. So why don,t you pay some attention to your own Ward and stop poking around in places where your not wanted. the way you go on about Ryan I'm starting to think you have a thing for him.

How low can you stoop? I was there. The food was great! The music was marvelous, great jazz- live and a wonderful singing performance by a very talented young lady. The NEW owners have redone the place, it was clean and a refreshing change from the old Forum.

Perhaps because of the favors, the backroom deals and such rumored on the streets are true? But to slander a new business by bringing up the former business' shortcomings and criminal activities is cowardly and unfair. Jeremy, you will say and do anything to promote your agenda as the Mayor discover on his "booze cruise."
What happened to decency, tolerance and fair play in the City? Those of you making up stories and lying outright to support the status quo, have my pity. The damage you do to decent people is appalling. Yet I can only feel sorry that you choose to be base, insulting. My mistake is different then Cahill's, Cahill, an election attorney, messed up on the witness section of the signature, I overlooked a date on the top of the page...there is still a chance the petition will hold up. Also Mr. Ryan does not have two lines he only has the WF line at this point.
