DiBella Knows Best, Soyer Deserves Property

I'm learning more and more that there is usually no need to second guess Alderwoman DiBella, or as I call her Kingston's rising star, becasue she's typically on the ball. This property controversy that we keep reading about is no different. Everyone is familiar with this bidding war that seems to be going on and every Alderman seems to have a different opinion on it. Ranging from just shoving it off to the highest bidder to Republican Mayoral candidate Richard Cahill wanting to take it off the tax-rolls and give it to a non-profit for $1. Than there is DiBella's plan, giving it to a woman that lives in Kingston with a proven track record of renovating properties in Kingston. At least for me it seems clear as to who the property should go to. But, in politics nothing seems to be easy, especially during an election year.

Whatever it's worth and probably not much, in my humble opinion the Common Council should follow the recommendations made by DiBella's committee and award the property to Renate Soyer.

And the Dems want to give it away to their friend...let those who vote for Renate Soyer pony up the $32,000 difference out of their pockets!

Sounds pretty accurate to me Jeremy, just like Richie "DUUBYA" Cahill, a totally misdirected plan of attack........

Forget jobs, industry, and overall growth, let's just make sure the well healed unions get their piece of the pie. Screw the people looking for the crumbs in the sawdust. This whole area is a pathetic cruel joke at times. Thank you again, IBM and all our economic development WIZARDS....

By all accounts, the higher bidder has done equally as well in rehabbing properties, except for the last one that fell behind due to family illness.

That being equal, then it IS about the money.

As a Democrat, I'm insulted by DiBella's blatant cronyism.

Hey Blaber. What happened to your "the guy is entitled to his opinion" garbage.

I saw on VNN Forum that you no longer "allow" Yankee James to post on your blog. Why is that? Are you afraid of something?

Concerned Kingstonian, that guy (Yankee James) is a racist.

I was reading his disgusting, racist blog. He refers to DMX and Michael Vick both as "colored boys."

He shouldn't be allowed to post anywhere.

Why should we lose 20k on a deal because Dibella knows this women? If Cahill or any other republican tried this, you people would revolt in the streets....Im not sure about the rest of you wealthy folks out there, but I sure would like to see the highest bidder be awarded this property and make the city some revenue for once , instead of another political favor, that costs me money on my tax bills. You are doing good Jeremy, keep backing the crooked fools, who arent even smart enough to try to hide thier deceptive ways. Ask yourseld this question. If you owend a business that generated $80 million a year, would you want Ann Marie Dibella running it? I think not!

All I have to say is that I am very happy not to be a Democrat...I'd be very embarrased by all of your actions! Since you all think you "Know Best", have you realized that is what has gotten this city where it is today...Run down and drug and gang infested. Not to mention that we are bringing more trash in on a daily basis...that us taxpayers have to pay for. This is what the Democrats have done for us. Are you impressed?, I'm not.
Does Ms. DiBella realize that we can see through this one? HELLO!!!!! are we a rich city? Not the last time I checked. Sounds a bit fishy to me...I would love to know what Soyer is kicking back to DiBella on this one!

Vote DiBella out! Though Jean Jacobs is not necessarily qualified, DiBella has proven once again that she isn't qualified either!
