HOFFAY EVENT DRAWS OVER 100 PEOPLE!!!

Alderman Hoffay, the Democratic candidate for Ward 2 drew well over 100 people to his fundraiser last night at Le Canard. It was a great tribute to Alderman Hoffay who is a life long resident of Kingston and Ward 2.

The energy in that room was great. I never have been to such a successful fundraiser for a council candidate.

Some notables : Congressman Hinchey, Assemblyman Cahill, Mike Hein, Elliott Auerbach, Alderman Landi, Alderman Whitlock, Alderman DiBella, Alderman Reynolds, former County Legislators Jack Finch and Jim Kelley Smith, Kevin O'Connor and the Sennett's

Clint Brown was there, Jeremy. He is the heaviest of the hitters on the poly-scene.

  2. Wonderful event! It truly demonstrates the wide breadth of support that Tom has not only within Kingston, but across Ulster County.

Sounds great! Congrats Alderman Hoffey! It is just a shame that this took place during the same time frame that the U.C. Legislature was holding its open session on the proposed smoking ban on all U.C. properties...

It would have been great to see more of you guys and gals there!

For a writeup, as noted in the blog above, go to http://www.spreadingourwings.blogspot.com

My writeups cover things from a little different angle than most of the papers - and there are some new polls, well worth checking out - over there, as well.

I'll try it again. What's the big deal? Democrats supporting a Democrat.

Was there one of constituents his there...you have not listed one. His constituents are not happy at all with the state of their ward. He will have a tough time winning.

  7. There were a lot of Ward 2 residents there. I also did mention a ward 2 resident in my list of notables, our Assemblyman Kevin Cahill.

It is somewhat ironic that Brittany Turner is not a Democrat; she espouses and embodies so much of the Party's principles and she works harder to elect Democrats in Ulster County - and beyond - than 90% of the registered party members and half of the committee members.

If you have not read her column this week in Ulster Publishing, you really should check it out. She really hits the nail on the head in terms of pointing out how misguided our local campaign process has become.

All 'politics is local' and this is is one locality that is fortunate to have a lady like Brittany Turner on the scene.

Keep on Truckin', Brit. When are we going to be able to vote for you?

The KHA under Mills is falling into disrepair because of Mills incompetence.
