Polacco Pulls Out Huge Victory

Congratulations to Alderman Ron Polacco who was written off by almost everyone, he ran a campaign that was very effective and he certainly showed the political establishment. Ron Polacco is the new leader of the Kingston Republican party.

Yeah, but can say his name is on huge tanker trucks of water?

I am still voting for Cahill. Gallo will win because of the split. That is unless the dems are still split.

Much like everyone else, he couldnt believe it....lol
What a joke the GOP is locally
Ron couldnt even beat Sottile if he was running
The GOP did nothing to help defeat the democrats, if anything they helped Gallo or Clement by dismissing Cahill, the only candidate on the GOP side with a clue, that could have won a debate against either dem.
What a joke

pretty scary huh? Looks like a Dem win in Nov is in the cards. Thanks Ron

Sadly, the only one of the four Republicans who was remotely qualified wasn't supported by Sinagra. Sinagra was thinking with his little head when he backed Turco-Levin. Cahill was imminently more qualified than any of the other 3, but since he wasn't "cute" the old geezers went for Andi. Republicans rule, govern, and vote with their hearts instead of their heads. That's why their anger and rhetoric resonates with idiot voters. People don't want to listen to logic and intelligence; it's too difficult for them to understand.

Cahill's worst enemy is himself. Woefully underprepared for a 4-year plan (he couldn't have saved or raised enough money for mailers or signs in 4 years?), he didn't have a chance.

I don't know who was on the Kingston GOP nominating committee, but the 3 who voted for him were the smartest ones in the entire party (that's not saying a lot, btw). They realized that he had the best chance to beat a Dem. He has as much experience as Clement (served one term) and is an attorney like Gallo.

Let's hope Gallo wins on Monday, because we know that a Dem will (and should) win in Kingston.

Clement and Polacco would be disastrous.

It should be against the law for Polacco to be the leader of anything. His limited acting talent has carried him a long way.His ascent is indictative of the inability of voters to go beyond the superficial. The redeeming factor is the other genius Sinagra should be out.

I see JB that you still don't like the truth, why don;t you post my comment about the poor condition the city of kingston remains in due to the likes of the democrats, poor housing, no tax revenue, business fleeing the city, gangs all over the place, drugs run amok. streets like cedar and Henry where safety is a concern to all that reside there. corruption in the KPD and a mayor who thinks dropping the trash service is the best way to fix the poor union contracts that are rampant in all public service sectors of the city.

Polacco is NOT the leader of the Republican party. I would be embarrased to admit that if I was a republican. He cultivated old people(golden Hill absentee ballots) family friends and members for the primary. Wait until he tries to get the truly informed voters to come on board with his campaign. He proved his point? so what!! A hollow victory in the end. Hayes on the other hand would be very effective. Smart and willing to roll up his sleeves and get the job done. Screw the platitudes from the Polacco campaign. No concrete plan at all. Just smiles and handshakes.

It is clear that the City GOP should have a major clean out of the top leaders who have been there way too long. Sinagra should hang his head in shame for his failed attempt to take back City Hall. He's a joke.

Actor? Is that the reason for that weird photo?

It is now apparent, considering the field, that Sottile had he chosen to run would win.

Gallo vs. Cahill would have been a better race. Polacco is a fool.

still picking and choosing the comments that suit your agenda, sad JB, it may promote your points but it fails your readers.

Scares me to think of this...no one ever thought Polacco would win the primary....no one thinks he can win city-wide. Sure hope history doesn't repeat itself!

Maybe Polacco can move out of his fathers basement now. 48 years old and has never lived alone. He does not know what a tax bill is, an oil bill, a roof repair, a weekly grocery bill. He has no life skills. Bad choice by the Republicans.

2:38 are you delusional? Sottile has been phoning in his job for the last 8 years. Did you notice the state of this city? I am afraid that one day I am going to wake up and find all the streets in Kingston have collapsed. Every street has some type of issue.
Perhaps if the Mayor had been in town more often and walked the streets he would noticed the conditions and addressed them before they became catastrophic. Yeah, just what we need..4 more years of tired old sad sack Sottile.
