ReplyDeleteI don't remember the Conservative party holding a caucus to make these endorsements. So I am not sure that the information is accurate.

The Conservatives are to the right of the Republicans on most issues. You cant get more out-of-touch with the UC voters than that.

ReplyDeleteThe fact that he did not get the conservative nomination is only a positive.
ReplyDeleteIt also rebuts the predictions of so many regarding his inside track on that nomination and his connections to the old republican guard.
But Hein/Quigley sounds a whole lot more balanced and better for Ulster County than Hein/Auerbach . . .

ReplyDelete7:11 AM: That's unfair, Vince Bradley ran on only the Independence and Conservative lines, so of course he took in more votes than the WF line. Both lines are good for about 1800-2000 a piece.

Jeremy, Did Hein seek the Conservative line or not? You said he didn't, Mid-Hudson News reports that Bonnie Hewitt says he did. We want to know. Did Michael seek the Conservative line or not.

ReplyDeleteAre you sure that you are right Jeremy. I can't believe that Mike would intereview with the Conservatives either. But for someone who didn't interview with the Conservative Party, they certainly had a lot to say about him at MidHudsonNews.

“We were very impressed with his credentials and his philosophies and what his plan was,” she told MidHudsonNews.com.
Hewitt said the committee interviewed both candidates.

The Conservative Nod is a Major Blow to the Hein Machine. This line was "locked up". The fact is that once Zimet left the race, they turned their backs on the Democratic Committee and lost support on many fronts. The Hein Machine doesn't share and will be a lonely island by September. The momentum is changing towards an Independant Candidate that is more friendly to Democrats than Hein.
