Paper Breaking For Auerbach
The absentee ballots are breaking steadily for Comptroller candidate Elliott Auerbach in his bid to become Ulster's first Comptroller.
While not much was accomplished on Friday due to the Skartados/Kirwin race, we should have a good idea on who won this election on Tuesday.
The good news is Auerbach is breaking ahead in areas like Marlboro and other Republican strong holds where he did not do particularly well on the machines.
I think this goes to the theory that these votes were cast before the Quigley media wave of lies and deception hit. If Auerbach does well in Kingston and holds on to New Paltz, Woodstock and Rosendale, the race will go his way.
More details as they become available.

You are best at scooping the Freeman - they gave us nothing - so what's up with Hein appointments - what new names might we expect to see? Is Sinagra, Donaldsom or Beradi getting jobs?
ReplyDeleteAny question about Hein's appointments should be directed to the Hein transition team. I think Addel was a great choice for chief of staff.
ReplyDeleteAt what point were the absentee ballots cast, before or after the Auerbach lies and propaganda? Only one candidate engaged in lies and distortion eh? You didn't get the campaign literature I got it seems...
ReplyDeleteAre you for real?
I saw every single piece of campaign lit and advertising in the comptroller's race on both sides. Quigley was nasty and outright lied, Auerbach never lied or went negative.
ReplyDeleteYou are very biased.
ReplyDeleteAlso, the numbers you are giving do not include all of the ballots submitted by Republicans challenged by the Democrat Assemblyman candidate's team. They are unopened.
Thus, the modest gains do not include Republican votes.
