I went to the Robin Yess announcement the other day at T.R. Gallo park and it's pretty clear that Mrs. Yess is in over her head. About 4 people excluding Yess' family were in attendance and the message was clear : PROPERTY TAXES. Ms. Yess is a one issue candidate and those candidates are not successful....except in school board elections. :)
Robin Yess, kind of reminds me off Jenine Pirro who originally was going to run against Hillary for Senate and party leaders talked her out of it and told her to run for AG. Same deal, Yess announces for Exec and Catalano says I think maybe Assembly is better.....doomed from the start.
Cahill has nothing nothing to worry about, his record fighting for the people of the 101st speaks for itself. I predict a 65-35 victory for Kevin.
On a funny side bar : John Morrow lashed out at the Republican committee meeting on Tuesday night because not enough Republicans showed up at Yess' announcement. Even Blaber was there said an angry Morrow to his fellow committee people.... now Morrow will have to spend sometime figuring out who my GOP sources are.

uhhh...could it be that Todd Langon was at the committee meeting and then you saw him at Crown Street? That's not too difficult a puzzle...
Jeremy,
What about all of Cahill's votes to raise our taxes.
He's done far more harm than good while in the Assembly.
Time for him to go.
just another desparate grasp by the republicans to show they can field candidates.
Adam,
What exactly do you do in you taxpayer funded job with the Assembly Republicans? I don't think the residents of the 101st Assembly District would be too pleased with the fact that Ms. Yess' flack is doing campaign work on their dime. Or is this her version of full public financing of elections?
“We need a willing partner to do property tax reform. To date, the Assembly refused to be a willing partner. The Assembly has refused to vote for the bill the Senate has passed and refused to consider other property tax reform legislation,” Senator Bonacic said. Cahill needs to be challaged on this issue as he has done nothing. He has a bill and he won't even introduce into committee. I think its the most important issue next to reducing the cost of living without giving handouts.
Adam, please be specific and name the taxes. Then balance that against the millions upon millions Kevin has brought back into the district.
That type of generalized statement does not work anymore, especially when it could no be further from the truth. Kevin has done an outstanding job of getting as much money as possible for his district.
Yess had better come up with more than the property tax issue. Cahill's bill is the gold standard for property tax relief experts.
Fights for the people.....HAHA!!! Fighting to do what...spend our money.....take away our rights...... let people out of jail as fast as possible. I don't know who you think he is fighting for, but it is certainly not a responsible, law abiding, two job working citizen such as me. By the way how is it that Cahill makes nearly double what what I (as a state employee, working in a hazardous career)do. And his job is considered part time. And as far as the republicans go.....they are almost as useless as the democrats. Until people sit up and fight back in the voting booth it will never change.
"Cahill's bill is the gold standard for property tax relief experts". What bill number is this? I like to read it.
