Rosendale/Esopus District 7 Legislators (choose 3):

Lomita - 381
Terpening - 357
Silvestro - 278
Pecora - 232

Not enough absentee ballots to make up the difference...good riddance roscoe...

Town of Rosendale Supervisor - Working Families Party Primary:

McDonough - 5
Costello - 3

Democrat McDonough keeps the endorsement, even though Republican Costello registered 3 new people in the party to try to take it away. Give him credit, he got all 3 of his people out.

Rosco will be on ballot, that prevents silvestro from getting elected. Lomita, Terpening and Hasset win in november. Take that to the bank.

Tonight's results are only a prelude of what will come to pass in November.

Rich and Lenny your 15 minutes are almost over!

Anonymous said...

You missed a few. Walker defeated Noble easily for the Conservative line. Langon also beat Senor for the Conservative line.

The spin that Rich posted on his blog about tonight's primary results comes accross as pathetic and cheap.

BTW...Rich you neglected to mention that all of Mr. Noble's votes on the Conservative line were write-ins.

Anyway Richie, how was the turnout at your headquarters this evening? Did you and your Dad finish the whole bag of Fritos?

Ha Ha!!!

Having worked at the polls today, it is amazing how many people do not have a clue as to what a primary is. We had a voter looking for Hillary Clinton on the ballot today, and so many who did not know they could only vote on the party line they are enrolled in. If they are this uninformed about what a primary even is, how can they possibly make an informed decision about who to vote for? I bet many of them know all there is to know about the latest OJ fiasco. I very seldom agree with you Jeremy, but at least you are a rarity in that you are young and do know what a primary is. You are unfortunately in the minority.

You hit ward 5, 8,the Aldermadan at large race and the legislative race on the head. Your vote totals where withein about15 votes. Who the F knows vote totals? Blaber one you need to get a life and two you will make someone very rich. Jon Senate, Jimmy Sottile and eveyone else you support will do well. Have you ever tried OTB? ;)>

As much as I want to strangle the fat loud mouth, JB, seems to have the political shit down to a science. My advice to Blaber as an elder politico on the other side is to be more open minded. Where he'd be good is as a BOE clerk, learn the ropes and run for elections commisioner. Can't start from the top, climb the ladder.

Congrats To DR. Whitlock. It was a
joy to support her yesterday.

Clint Brown you are a amazing man.

Considering Noble won, I cannot understand why the Democrats are still so nasty and arrogant? Noble was supposed to win a Democrat primary. Lenny changed his enrollment to Republican. The chances of him winning the primary were miniscule. He should not have gotten even 10% of the vote. In my mind, he did better than expected.

Anonymous said...

If this had been a Republican peimary, Noble would not have gotten even 5% of the vote.

Interesting result in the City Judge race.

If you add them up, they tied at 105 votes a piece!

Anonymous said...

Agreed 12:06, kind of like the mentality of 11:24. Dude, a prelude to November? 258 registered DEMOCRATS voted for Walker!

The uninformed voter is what destroys Democracies. At least this voter knew the name of the candidate. I'd like to see party affiliation removed, one name, one line.

So bruhn beats gilpatric by a 2 -1 margin in the midtown wards.how bout that.j.g. never would have thought that could be possible.with all of bruhns obsticles he sure did a hell of a job.gilpatric must be scared shitless.maybe the people are starting to see that bruhn really is the better man for the job.politics aside.sorry gilpatric supporters.sorry larry.

Blaber aka Karl Rove

Sottile is gonna have a cake walk this November. Blaber your the best.

Anonymous said...

Blaber as clerk? LOL, has a man ever been a clerk at the BOE? I agree he has to climb the ladder but he has a little. Blaber puts himself out for what he believes in someone will reward his efforts. He needs to lick his wounds and repair some of his Kingston relationships.

12:06am, I also worked the polls yesterday and I aggree, people really have no clue how this whole system works. People have no clue about primaries. Also, no one undetstands the write in process, why I think none of the write in came even close. As poll workers, we re not allowed to tell them how to write in unless they specifically ask. As far as the Walker-Noble race, where I was working it a lot lot closer, 12-10. What I found interesting is that Lenny's best area of the city was mid-town. I think really does show that Noble's comment in the freeman about there not being crime is very off base with the public. And if Lenny pulled 30% of the primary vote, that says alot. Many do want a change.

Anonymous said...

Noble also lost 254 registered Democratic voters think about that.

The following comment was posted on another blog - but I felt it was very informative and worth forwarding on:

Correction---"sitting" city court judge JG wasn't "sitting" at all when his cousin Mike Bruhn entered the race...he was campaigning for a different job that he planned to leave his part-time city court position for should it pan out. He didn't get the Supreme Court nomination (in part because of what happened the LAST time he got the Supreme Court nomination)and only then did he accept Sottile's offer to move up to full-time judge and campaign for the position in the fall. Talk about crappy things to do to family. I wonder how Bruhn felt when JG waltzed into the race months after Bruhn had been working it? Seriously folks---there's two sides to every story and if you're not willing to consider both, your opinion usually means squat.

Anonymous said...

STALKER GOT SMASHED TO SMITHEREENS IN HIS OWN WARD! THINK ABOUT THAT!

Anonymous said...

BRUHN JR ONLY CARES ABOUT HIMSELF. HE DOESN'T CARE WHO HE STEPS ON EVEN IF ITS HIS COUSIN, A COUSIN WHO GAVE UP HIS PRACTICE NO LESS. DOESN'T HE HAVE A CONSCIENCE, TRYING TO KILL HIS COUSIN'S POLITICAL CAREER AND HIS INCOME? BTW, NOT FOR NOTHING BUT GILPATRIC HAS ALMOST 14 YEARS ON THE BENCH. WHAT DOES BRUHN HAVE EXCEPT DADDY AND A PRACTICE THAT'S ABOUT AS DISTINGUISHED AS LITTLE DICK'S?

Anonymous said...

HEY CAPS BOY, read 6:56 again. Maybe you'll get it right.

Sounds more like Sottile pushing JG into a family contest. Jimmy's NOT for family values?

I can't believe how close the fourth ward primary was. I applaud Matt Ryan for running such a tight campaign in spite of the Mayor buying Shirley Whitlock lawn signs, Nicky Worner doing her mailing, and democratic headquarters doing a phone bank. I guess all the mayor's horses and all the mayor's men could barely win a primary, but they will get crushed come November.

Anonymous said...

I have watched Matt Ryan try to better his ward for the past two years when Clint Brown wouldn't do anything. He did because he cared not because it was his job as alderman. Shirley Whitlock hadn't been a figure until the mayor promised to get her elected. It's unfortunate that you can win a primary in any party after doing so little. I am disheartened a candidate who has done so little has been rewarded with so much.

Anonymous said...

The sad truth is that Matt Ryan comes across as a petty, whiny, spoiled child. If he grew up and acted mature, he stands an excellent chance of becoming 4th Ward alderman. The guy does have initiative and drive to make things better; however, all that is lost on his "poor bedside manner". Shirley Whitlock is doing her best to give the job to Matt Ryan by 'staying under the radar'.

Anonymous said...

To 8:35 pm- You may take Matthew's behavior as whiny and I think that comes from his lack of experience as a public servant. At the same time who acts more like a child Jim Sottile provoking a women to slap him and throw a drink in his face and he in hers or someone dissapointed over not getting quality of life crime such as drugs and prostitution consistently bottled up. He is willing to stick is neck out and to be held accountable even in his mistakes because his motives are based on truth not empty statistics that say crime is down. If you think Whitlock is under the radar now, wait and see how low she can go if she is elected. Clint Brown can show her the way. Vote for Matthew Ryan if you want change. Vote for Shirley Whitlock if you want lip service and an absentee alderman. -VP

To 9:26 from 8:35--
You bring up some excellent points. Matt Ryan constantly sticks his foot in his mouth. The Rev. Whitlock did something positive for her ward in sponsoring the cleanup. What does Matt do? He whines, criticizes, and attacks Whitlock! This is not helping his cause! He comes across as immature, petty, and incredibly stupid. Doesn't he realize that everything he, Whitlock, and others do benefits the community and city as a whole? Why must Matt reduce everything to political rhetoric? I tell you this, the Rev. Whitlock far outshines that loud, foul-mouthed, spiteful Matt Ryan. All of his accomplishments are lost on his nasty and bitter attitude. Keep it up Matt! Hand Shirley the race on a silver platter!

Anonymous said...

While the crime issue is important, where do Whitlock and Ryan stand on other issues?
One issue candidates are seldom effective.

Anonymous said...

4:07
Shirley Whitlock has no other view points and no solutions for the fourth Ward except to be a drinkin buddy of the mayors, where do you think she got the name not- a-word- Whitlock and no-show- Shirley? she does one clean up of her street just before the primary and the mayor hands out school supplies that he bought and we think this makes her a great alderwomen Matt Ryan has been doing neighborhood clean-ups for two years already along with a long list of other achivements on both sides of bway not just infront of his own house like Shirley and I have a problem with a revernd getting a pay check from a church and the state She critizes Ryan for getting the republican endorsement but then she sends all the republicans a letter asking them to vote for her in the primary?, two faced Shirley Whitlock wants it both ways? go Ryan your sure to win the general election EVERYBODY CAN SEE THROUGH THIS BUY THEM A TOY AND SAY ANYTHING TO GET A VOTE WHITLOCK.

Anonymous said...

8:35PM
What do you mean matt ryan sticks his own foot in his mouth because he tells it like it is... three days before a primary she finally decides to do something for her ward and has the mayor go out and buy gifts and school supplies for the kids who do the clean up for her? talk about desperate... buying votes through the parents children!!
you say ryan is foul mouthed some examples please? I have read all his comments and his voter material and I see no proof of this also he's spiteful of what? a hand picked, do nothing rev, who hasn't a clue what is going on in her own Ward and talk about nasty and bitter I suggest you read some of the garbage Whitlock has sent to my address lately if you want to see nasty, childish, and bitter Matt Ryan has always taken the high road and said nothing bad about miss whitlock. she should be ashamed to call herself a revernd.

Anonymous said...

Look at the latest Kingston Times. Ryan insults Whitlock and reduces everything to political rhetoric. Why can't he just say, good job! Anyone who does anything to clean up ward 4 is OK in my book. Ryan has done well, but his spite and big mouth have alienated many people from the mayor on down to us citizens.

Anonymous said...

Shirley Whitlock says and does nothing thats why no one on ths blog has anything to say about her. She has no strong stances on anything except that the mayor hand picked her to be her "yes" girl on his commom council some of you say Ryan is whiny well at least I know where and what he stands for and has stood up for our Ward for over two years where's Shirley been? no wonder she has the nick name no-show-Shirley and not-a-word-WHITLOCK it's true she says does and see's nothing!AND TO PULL A STREET CLEAN UP OUT OF HER B--- THREE DAYS BEFORE THE PRIMARY AND USE CHILDREN AS POLITICAL FUDDER THAT WAY IS EMBARRASSING.

Anonymous said...

I'll tell you what is embarassing--MATT RYAN and his constant whining and prissy attitude. I would expect such antics from a little girl. However, a grown man should not act that way. This is the person we want to represent our ward?

Anonymous said...

What whinning and prissy attitude where do you people get this stuff? Maybe you like the fact that the fourth Ward has 8 stabbings and shootings the 30 some people arrested on drug charges the recent meth lab closed down the five people arrested last week for selling drugs has Whitlock said anything about the way the ward is no wake up people before your the next stabbing or shooting victim The current Alderman says it;s not that big of a problem is he high too!!

Anonymous said...

Most of the people making these commemts don't even live in the 4th ward so don't pay any attention to them it's probably Reynolds and blaber writing all this s--t anyway.

Anonymous said...

12;46 pm
What drugs are you on give us some examples of his prissy attitude so far he's dne a hell of a lot more then the rev and he's been doing it for the past two years to make the Ward safe for his own kids I commend him for his efforts and the people of the fourth ward would be stuipd to vote in the mayors yes women cause nothing will get done if she's elected.

Anonymous said...

12:46
Does that mean that Jennifer Ringwood uses her kids for political gain as well? or is just having children in general a problem for you? Maybe your the prissy one who needs to grow up and get a life and stop judging others before yourself or maybe your envious because you can't have children? either way go get some medical help for that big chip on your shoulder.
