Why Didn't Hayes Clement Vote in 2007 Mayor's Election?

You have got to be kidding me, this guy that wants to be Mayor and has NEVER voted for the office he is seeking. Hayes Clement lived here since 2005, and didn't bother to Vote in Kingston until 2009, the same year he was on the ballot for Alderman, opportunism? This carpet salesman really thinks we are all ignorant and is trying to sell Kingston a bill of goods...

The word on the street is Hayes is nothing more than a snake oil salesman who is buying his way to the top. Check please!!

Who cares. Gallo is in bed with the unions. He will sell Kingston down the road just like the dems of the past.

Too bad Cahill and Gallo couldn't team up.

Maybe he couldn't bring himself to vote for Sottile and who could blame him?

If that is the reason, he just got my vote!

2:34,

Guess what? it's the blue collar union members that vote in the dem primaries.

Got to wonder what type of mindset it takes for someone to believe they should be mayor of a city where he or she has lived full time for twelve minutes.

Delusions of grandeur?

Savior complex?

Who knows, but it is a little scary to think that he has no ties to the community, no commitment to the area, no relatives who live here, no children who play in our streets or attend our schools and he thinks he is best qualified to make decisions for people who he barely knows.

Personally, I disagree with almost every political belief held by Rich Cahill, and it pains me to say this, but I, and many other long time residents, would vote for Rich before Hayes.

If Rick Cahill ever becomes mayor, I move out of Kingston. I will know the end is near.

He didn't bother to register because he does not care and now is trying to buy the Kingston vote.

This guy is as slippery as they come he pledged for a zero percent tax hike and than voted for a tax hike.

He voted to lay off dpw workers and tried sucking up the the unions simultaneously

He inflates his resume all day long, what jobs did you create Hayes? Oh, that's right none. Except maybe a sweatshop in Latin America w the job his daddy got him..this guy changes jobs like I change socks, why do you have no roots to any community when you are 50 years old? Why are you no longer with HBO?

Why all the questions surrounding this guy?

All I do know about the guy is that he has a housekeeper and likes to have a drink or two or four.

I will not vote for this guy, he is out of touch and unqualified.

415 you mean Kevin Cahill and Shayne Gallo, yes that would be a strong ticket but a down grade for our great Assemblyman.

The closer it gets the more you will see that none of the candidates are actually qualified, and its all a popularity contest.
I have not heard one of these mayoral candidates propose a plan for the city, and a plan on how the pay for things.
This city is in need of a transfusion and a leader with vision, not another figure head who needs the job.
If the election was today, I think Cahill has the most vigor, and desire to hold the position, and actually has practiced his whole life to hold this post. He at least attacks the issues and has a clue on a few proposals to recitfy issues.
I really like the fact that both parties dont want him around, that speaks volumes to me, as both local parties have failed our city over the last 10 yrs.
Maybe its time to give the kid a shot.
He has my vote so far

We are in big trouble...BIG TROUBLE.

I just love how Little Dick is trying to position himself as a legitimate alternative because everyone hates him. It is his only chance...."vote for me out of desperation".

If you were to track where those posts came from it wold take long to link them back to him. Oh and by the way Rick, you ain't no kid!

Gee Blaber, being new to the area didnt seem to bother you when you were supporting carpetbaggers Jon Sennett or Hillary Clinton. The guy ran in 2009 and served his community. All yo ever do is attack other people who are interested in doing the same. Nothing stopping you from putting yourself up for election.

The guy registered and ran in 2009. Big difference between Hayes and Sennett. Jonathan lived here and clearly has roots to our community, win, lose or draw. Mark my words if Hayes loses or even if he wins, there is nothing keeping him here.

With all due respect Cahill didn't write those comments, I know his writing style.

I wrote them, and I am not Rich Cahill, however compared to me he is a kid.
Lets put it this way so it doesnt seem desperate.
In the last 5 years the most vocal citizen and one time politician who has voice more concern about the state of Kingston, and has dedicated more time to improving this city is Rich Cahill, not any of the others.
You cannot dispute this.
He has never waivered on his disdain for the current admin and thier failures
Has constantly provided resolutions (that were never considered becuase they came from him)
Has proven to be honest with some integrity
Has studied the codes and the budget to improve his positioning for this election
And has never quit in the face of all the bullsh!t and bad mouthing from all the failures in local politics.
This is Rich, and maybe he isnt a loed talking, tough acting individual, however now is the time to elect someone that is actually out for the best interest of Kingston, and not running for prom queen or King.
Not one other candidate can match the effort or dedication that Rich has presented in the last 5 years.
For that he has my vote!
If you dont like him, dont vote for him, based on your comments I have to believe that you supported Sottile in the last election, and I sure that you must be real proud of that vote right now!
And based on that vote only, I can assure you that you are most likely backing the wrong person this time around as well, and basic intelligence would not be your strong point if you believed Sottile was the right man for the position 4 years ago!
Go get Rich!

Mike Schupp is bypassing the purchasing agent and trying to buy the stone and bricks, for the sidewalk in front of City Hall, from his sons landscaping business. What does the corporation council think about that.

Your wild and ridiculous stunt to try and swing the debate in Shayne's favor was desperate and didn't work. Everybody knew what you were trying, and Kirby didn't bite. Swing and a miss, once again.

Jeremy Blaber said...

135 you're paranoid and give me way too much credit. Gallo swung and hit a home run this morning on his own. Certainly did not need my help.

I thought it was illegal to have political signs on City, County and State property? Seems Shayne Gallo does not abide by the law. Check out the signs on Delaware Ave.

Jeremy Blaber said...

927: That's private property on Delaware Ave., happens to be my family's property.

Jeremy YOu own the little triangle above Koenig Blvd. What do yo think we are all stupid.

Jeremy Blaber said...

217: No, I thought you were referring to the area on Delaware by the traffic light on Murray, that commonly is mistaken as city owned property.

I did see signs for two candidates at the triangle which is def public owned property, they have both since been removed.
