Less Than A Week Left!

We are down to the final week until primary day in Kingston. On the Democratic side it's Democrat Shayne Gallo facing off against the very well funded but not very well known Hayes Clement.

Gallo, who already has the endorsements of the Independence and Working Families party, is running on his strong roots to this community, his wide range of experience in both the public and private sector and his readiness to do the job on day one, with no need for one the job training. Gallo has promised to improve our quality of life, clean up midtown, put beat cops on the streets and foster a climate that puts people first.

Clement, new to the scene is approaching the race a bit differently, he is catering to a more elitist crowd, promoting the arts and hoping the good ol' boy network that is backing him will help swoop him into office. Hayes is spreading a lot of money around, I even hear that he he has bought tv ads for the primary. Hayes' camapign is well organized, he is not to be underestimated.

The Republican primary is anyone's guess. The beginning of the race I thought Cahill would win the primary in a walk but Andi Turco Levin is fighting hard to hang on to the GOP line. Polocco is everywhere and his candidacy is gaining momentum. Any of the three could win this primary, it is way to close to call. Jean Jacobs, who is a nice lady has an uphill battle, Jean could take away some votes from Levin. We will have to wait and see.

Tuesday can't come fast enough, I think one thing all six candidates are agreeable on is they just want to get the primary over and done with.

I hear Pollacco already has dozens of absentee ballots filled out by those who will not be able to vote on primary day. This guy is no fool. 250 votes could win this four way race easily.

Did anyone see the $ 1000.00"donation" Bill Carey got from Steve Aaron's Lawyer David Lenefsky???

Clement is buying peoples votes. it is so pathetic.

Does the lawyer even know who Bill Carey is or did b-i-l Loughran arrange for the cash infusion because of his association with Aaron?

I almost felt bad for this guy Carey but if he is that stupid to not see what that money will cost him latter then I have no sympathy for him. It's no secret what friendship with Aaron can cost you. Just ask Nick Woerner! At least he learned his lesson but cost him his Supervisorship. Woerner is a good guy now that he does not have the Aaron crew to keep happy. It would also be good to have Woerner in there to keep and eye on them. No wonder why Aaron and crew don't want him... Aaron's office and hardware store are smack dab in the Fifth Ward. Maybe Nickie will make them clean that mess up that they have overthere where the Bill Carey and Dave Do-nothing signs are!!!

Can 5:47 tell me how Clement is buying votes? I am not voting for him, but fair is fair. That comment just seems completely off the wall and more than a bit of a stretch.

When your buying residents in key neighborhoods cell phones and handing out $50 gift cards in midtown, it's pandering. He has been here for two years and active in our community for a few months. Who do you trust?

What are Gallo's and Clements position on eliminating trash pickup ? What's next stopping snow-plowing in winter to save cronies their jobs at City Hall?

I don't about Mr.Clement but no way Gallo will EVER allow privatization of trash pickup! What do we pay taxes for?

What clement is proposing to do as mayor should have been done as a alderman, so he did nothin for us in my ward. He's all talk and no results. So no he does not have my vote. He can throw al his money around to people, but he wiill not win.
