Julian resigns as dem chair to launch run for congress

Julian Schreibman resigned last week as Chair of the Ulster County Democratic Committee to launch is campaign for Congress. Karen Markasinis is now acting chair of the committee.  I don't really no what I could add to this...

It is very important to have a strong sense of self worth, even if it is not warranted . . .

I can finish it....How can a person with his record in politics think he could run for Congress.

You know JB we won't go away, we know you for the fraud that you are, just post dissenting comments and all will be forgiven. So tire of the one sided bias yoou allow by not posting for those who disagree with you or attack those you promote.

It has to be a joke no? It was obvious he was out as Chairman anyway in the near future, but where is this guy's head in thinking 1. he is remotely qualified to be in Congress and more importantly 2. thinking that he could win. Given his quotes he plans on running on his legal acumen...well I think the people of Ulster County are fully aware that he has little to none of that.

Who should take his place? I can think of a few people.

I can add a few things. Julian is an excellent choice for representing our district. His unfailing determination to seeking fairness and ethical high ground make him superbly qualified to legislate on the federal level. His experience at the CIA gives him a natural insight into how support for our fight against terrorism by our intelligence services is so crucial to our safety here in the Hudson Valley. The everchanging threat requires vigilance at the highest level. Julian understands this and will make safety from violent foreign entities just as important legislatively as threats from financial criminals within our borders and unscrupulous energy concerns that would inject our planet with carcinogenic brews.

CIA background? International terrorists? Unfailing determination?
Who are we kidding.
The words that do not come to mind when thinking of Julian are vibrant, personable or approachable.
The word electable is so far from the discussion that it is almost laughable.
How about this. . .
Julian resigns from a position that he is about to lose that no one else wants. He declares for an office he could not possibly win, which may not even exist, so that the members of his party who don't want him as chair will convince him to drop out of the congressional race in exchange for their support for him to remain chair.
Can he be that brilliant?
Nah . . .

NOT QUALIFIED, just another Democrat with a pretty face and no resume!
Hinchey's coat tails aren't that long!

Maybe he can run against Rascoe and Bernardo can take control of all the parties. It would be great for the little guy ego.

What isn't known is what is so powerful. They don't call them "intelligence" agencies for being obvious. I haven't read any intelligent arguments against him yet. I have seen him work. None of you have. He is completely unknown to you people and it has served him well. You know nothing and can do little to stop him. Anonymity is like gold in politics. His opponent is chained to his record. Try getting anything on Julian. I'm going to love this one. Sorry, classified!

Nick Woerner for chair

Julian is a twit. He couldn't lead a horse to water. His wife put him up to this, just like she put him up to running for chair.

The only way for Julian to make a graceful exit from chair is to announce a run for higher office. Julians record as party leader is pathetic. He lost county and assembly race, legislature twice, county da, county clerk, county judge, and countless supervisor and town board seats over his 3 years. Assistant Democratic Chair Karen Markesinas from the town of Ulster had no caucus and put up no candidates for town election last year.

Julian didn't resign to run for Congress, he used Congress as an excuse to cover his failures. His candidacy is a joke at best.

Hinchey didn't do enough to support anti-terrorism efforts. Schreibman will. Stealth jihadists have pictures of themselves posing with Maurice. Which terror related operatives are connected to Philips?

This guy probably knows a dozen ways to kill you with a ball point pen and can do it without a flinch of that silly happy go lucky grin.

All for naught, NY must give up 2 districts and I believe that this is one of those 2 so all the hopes of Hein, Ahouse and Julian, even Cahill will be dashed, and I believe that Cahill hasn't come out is proof positive that Hinchey's district is HISTORY & Cahill is no FOOL!
