Sheriff elect Paul Van Blarcum easily defeated his opponent by a near 2 to 1 margin, Tuesday night leading Costello 35,459 to 19,548. Both candidates lead a clean campaign that stuck to the issues and in the end the people of Ulster County choose some one who is the the most qualified to lead the U.C. sheriff dept. I wish Paul the best of luck in his new position...he earned it and will do a phenomenal job as our next Ulster County Sheriff.
