Just a Random Thought...

What Qualifies Someone To Be Assemblyman of the 101st????

Working tirelessly to bring jobs into Ulster County
Or making Vintage Coca Cola signs?

Chair of the Assembly's Energy committee, making sure that NYS keeps up with the rest of the country and protects our future through green initiatives

or making Vintage Coca Cola signs?

Chairing and combating ethics reform on NYS government, holding our elected officials accountable...

or making vintage Coca Cola signs???

I'd say Kevin Cahill is far more qualified than someone who makes vintage Coca Cola signs. Going to the state legislature is not where you cut your teeth. Try town board or maybe county legislature first. Kevin also has a law degree which, if you're going to write or vote on laws, is helpful. Where has the other guy been all these years? Making money for himself; doing nothing for his community.

Maybe if Cahill had been making Coca Cola signs he would at least be doing something up there rather than sitting on his butt and doing absolutely nothing about the budget. And are you actually praising his activity of the ethics committee. Are you kdding me? They have more members under investigation or indictment than I can count. He has done nothing to improve the ethics in Albany. I don't care who runs against him, for the first time since he has been in office, they are getting my vote. He and the rest of those sacks in Albany need to go. Unfortunately, I only get to vote against him and my senator. I would like to vote against all of them.

9:52 - maybe I'm mistaken but, isn't the objective of the ethics committee to investigate if one of their own violated any ethics codes/laws? Legislators don't have the power to indict; if something rises to the level of criminality, they pass it on to the DA or AG. If there are more investigations and subsequent indictments than you can count, that means the ethics committee is doing its job!

Peter Rooney,
"I’m little behind on some of those issues, but I’m working on them, constantly catching up."

Good luck buddy, catching Cahill is a tall order. He masters topics of importance.

A public memo to Mr. Richard Cahill:

Are you sure you want to support Mr. Peter Rooney? Do you know his positions on gay marriage, abortion, the death penalty and the 2nd amendment? What if his positions are against your personal beliefs? You have not supported candidates in the past based on their personal beliefs right? Be careful, you may want to at least meet this guy before you support him publicly.

Here is your chance to back out from this statement now.....

On a personal note, I am supporting Mr. Rooney. Let it be known and heard from the highest mountaintop:.

"CAHILL SUPPORTS ROONEY!!!"
