Bernardo and Ulster Independence Party Endorses Hein for Executive

BREAKING NEWS: Ulster County Independence Party Chairman, Len Bernardo, announced today his party’s endorsement of Mike Hein for a second term as Ulster County Executive.

“My administration is committed to serving all 183,000 people of Ulster County and to working with all political parties as we move forward,” said Mike Hein. “My reform- minded administration is aligned with the principles of the Independence Party platform and I graciously accept their endorsement.”

“Mike Hein has demonstrated the leadership and work ethic that the residents of Ulster County deserve,” said Fawn Tantillo, Ulster County Independence Party Endorsement Coordinator and Deputy Party Chairman. “The Independence Party of Ulster County is an organization that believes in pro-business policies and fiscally sound government practices that foster economic prosperity for all. We believe that Mike Hein shares those values and that is why we are endorsing him for a second term as Ulster County Executive.”

Hysterical, Is Bernardo & Tantillo's endorsement really anything Mikey wants ?
I should think he'd run from those two shysters.

truth, anything is posiable.

I bet Joe DiFalco had a hand in that!

It means the Republicans don't have a candidate for Exec, and it seems likely Joe Roberti's head will explode.

Sucks to be a Republican- Holley Carnwright at the top of your ticket.

It's not like there were many options. The Republican candidate does not exist. So much for great leadership.

so...is this a Len Bernardo endorsement or Independence Party endorsement? Who all made the decision for all the enrolled Independence Party members? Two people?

It seems like Tantillo will continue to walk thru the county building with a loaded handgun in her pursue and no one will say anything

word on the street is that the Republican Chairman wants to put all her eggs in winning Holleys race, so she has not looked for a candidate to run against Hein. Maybe she should have asked "mojo" Roberti to run, he's a real hot ticket. Anyway, between screwing up reapportionment, and screwing up by not recruiting a candidate to run against Hein, its like not even having a Republican Party. They will once again be the monority party after this election.

How come the endorsement comes from Tantillo and nothing from bernardo the chair?

How does that work? 2 people out of the entire enrollment in the Independence party choose?

It is time to get out of the Independence party and go back to not being enrolled in a party. If the party is run by 2 people and they do not solicit input from the rank and file, something is wrong.

Hmmm tough choice there...either endorse Hein or not have a candidate. I guess we'll take the former.
