Comments like the above aren't helpful. While it is true that party leadership did a lot to generate skepticism about how funds are spent, it's not helpful to point fingers and spin facts (for instance, it wasn't Stuart, it was John who diverted the $$).

Nonetheless, ridiculous comments from bloggers like these only make the "reform" side of the Dem party appear like paranoid lunatics.

While I am a strong propionate of freedom of speech, I think the blog manager should play some role in providing thoughtful commentary and managing the discussion. Unless this starts to happen, reasonable people like me will tune out and this site will be dubbed as outlet for the fringes.

Jeremy, slanderous statements should be removed. Use your head.

Take down the Political Add Jeremy, before the poughkeepsie journal online cuts you off.

Which Democratic leaders can we thank for electing a Republican DA?

Your true colors are showing. Be careful.

1:03 Who are YOU to decide what is libelous (not slanderous). The truth is the UCDC sold tickets and journal ads, then deposited the money into a campaign account that was outside the control of the Executive Committee - to quote Zali Win. Some of that money was paid to Bradley's PR team (I won't even give them a plug here). The Chair tried to give twice as much to that entity, but the rest of the Executive Committee finally caught on.

It is disturbing. You may not want to believe it. But it is true. By the way, truth is an absolute defense to libel.

We really need people to stop pretending that deceit is acceptable, so long as it is perpetrated in the name of the Democratic Party.

Will Vince Bradley be there?

Shouldn't that invitation state more clearly that it benefits republicans? It's very misleading. If Stuart Fraser's name wasn't on it someone could assume it's a legitimate Democratic fundraiser.

What about announcements that aren't Dem OR Repub? :)

8:01----You can thank those that refused to allow a primary so the best candidate could win against Carnright. It might very well had been Sennett and he would have had the support of ALL Dem's in UC not just those that think they know better than anyone else and other opinions don't matter. Read some of the BS on this blog from some very sick people. the best advice to candidates in the future is to run far away from these wackado's. An endorsement from any of them spells defeat.
Sennett should smarten up????He will never win anything in UC with support only from the naysayers.

Forgetaboutit still doesn't understand: primaries are a run-off between two enrolled candidates from the same party. A Wilson-Pakulas is to allow a non-enrollee to run on your line when your party doesn't have a viable candidate. You don't issue a Wilson-Pakula to allow a primary! The Dems had a great, qualified candidate with Jon Sennett, but idolatry prevents Bradley supporters from seeing the big picture. They still don't believe that the rest of the county doesn't revolve around Kingston. And, if Bradley was going to be the top law enforcer of the county, why didn't he know a very simple law that would've allowed him to primary? BTW - Bradley's not even licensed to practice law. He let his license expire. Can you spell "loser"?
