NOONAN ANNOUNCES FOR EXECUTIVE

County Minority Leader Glenn Noonan made it official today and jumped in the race for County Executive. It looks like he may have a challenge from this Bernardo guy but the fact is we don't know this guy. Noonan has the name recognition and as one of his fellow Republican's put it to me today is a true Republican solider.

This is not an endorsement for Noonan, I think his ideas for the County are off the beaten path but with his experience in County government and his fighting for Republican causes, some of which are hard to fight for, makes him worthy of the GOP nod.

NOOOOONAN! Way to go man! I hope you rattle those Independence party, supporting idiots!

Joe Roberti should be ashamed of supporting an Independence party guy over a true Republican like you. Roberti is not a good Republican anyway so it makes sense he is supporting Bernardo. If he was allowed to support Hein,I think he would.

King Mario rules the roost baby, he is no better than Savago. Watch for John Guerin, King Mario's brother in law and the Prince of slash and burn politics, to pop his head out of his hole and make some noise.

Ok, now Noonan needs to Announce that he never voted for the Bond for the capital spend for the Jail that led to a 39% tax increase. Wake up people. A great Republican and hard worker. Like Hugh Reynolds, we will never forget the 39% tax increase. But Noonan like all Republican Legislators would love this to go away, its not never going to happen.
Noonan and the old Republicans may need to understand this will be when Noonan's loses in November that is will go down in Ulster History as "The Republican's Last Stand". Bye to Party, the Parties OVER!!!! Go Hein!!!

Noonan is not electable countywide. He voted for a 39% tax hike in 2005 and lost to Kevin Cahill 25,000 to 12,000 in 2002. Blaber is an unabashed supporter of Mike Hein. His nice words about Noonan have no credibility because Hein and his team would love to have an opponent like Noonan: a guy who has voted for a 39% tax hike.

This is the second real business person the Republicans have come up with - while the Democrats shut the door in Beradi's face.

All the Democrats did was add 7% and 3% percent on top of the 39% increase.

They didn't roll it back at all!

Noonan is some Republican. He helped Democrats elect Alfonso Chairman when Republicans chose Sinagra. He used to brag he was best friends with Sue Zimet. Now, he's Donaldson's errand boy. Now he's smearing Sen. Bonacic.

When Reps ruled 17-16, he threatened to become a Dem unless the Gardiner Planning Board approved a business he was pushing. Noonan is a joke and unelectable.

Bill Berardi said it loud and clear. The Democrats in their infinite wisdom raised taxes 7% and another 3%, which added insult to the already 39% tax hike. They forget that a raise is a raise, regardless. And for their spokesperson on a local radio show admitting that they were raising taxes, but they are lower than the increases the former Majority put into effect. If they really wanted to make a statement, they would not have any tax hikes at all. They are still clueless.

Come to the Convention.

Noonan doesn't stand a chance. First, he admits in the Freeman that he thinks Susan Zimet is looking out for the taxpayer. That's a joke. Zimet voted for the last two tax hikes, which are ON TOP OF the 39% tax hike Noonan voted for.

Second, Noonan, contrary to what was reported by Hugh Reynolds did not lose to Kevin Cahill by a nearly 2 to 1 margin, he lost by MORE THAN a 2 to 1 margin.

Third, Noonan has no capacity to raise money. He raised next to nothing for his loosing race against Cahill.

Democrats are praying that Noonan would be the GOP candidate because they know he doesn't stand a chance. The battle for the election this year will be decided by independent voters. Nominating an independent like Bernardo would be a good move.

Instead of casting stones why don't we have debates for the candidates on the issues and let the people decide.

3:59 when you submit put your name on it we all know Joe Roberti and his ideas whats in it for me. He thinks county goverment and(state) is his own personal employment service for friends and himself. Go Noooonan

If the Independents are gonna determine the outcome let them endorse bernardo the republicans endorse noonan and the democrats endorse hein. Why should the parties allow someone to represent them when there are obvious differences. If I want an independent I will vote for him. The politics are getting sadder by the minute here.

The only chance the Republicans have in winning the County Executive seat is to draft Jerry Benjamin. He is well known and respected by all sides.

Nooooonan, errr, Honest Abe takes the most expensive county health insurance plan. He voted against the county sales tax--property taxes would have increased by 30% if he had is way. He pushed for the county to hire Bovis to run the jail project. He is nothing but a puppet of the Marlboro boys.
NOOOOONAN=LOOOOOOOSER!!!

I am glad we are saying puppet. Is len, the independent being pushed by Bonacic and now by his royal highness king Mario going to be their puppet? If the republicans want to smear the republican for an independent the question needs to be why? When Savago was chairman this would not have happened. Imagine Savago supporting a independent over a republican.

I wonder who Savago supports now? Maybe someone should ask him.

I find it amazing Roberti and others back Bernardo, but it is amazingly refreshing.

It is impressive that Republicans back Bernardo even though he is an independent. Voters are sick and tired of partisan politics. We want results, and don't care about political labels.

Finally, it is absurd that Noonan claims he is running to be a friend of the taxpayer. Some Friend! He raised taxes 39% in on year, takes the county health insurance - at taxpayer's dime, for his part time work. That is simply not an electable record.

Savago supported Democrat Mary Work over a Republican (Carpinello) in a judicial election many years ago.

What convention? - Based on my experiences I thought it was all done in the smoke-filled back rooms.

Ok enough of the party politics. I agree it is time for us to vote for the best person. I do not want someone who has no experience running county government. That means I support Mike Hein. I am anxiously awaiting someone to challenge Bonacic as he is a failure as a senator. How much have taxes gone up because of his pork. We need to hold these people responsible for the votes they cast. Bonacics party controls the senate and he needs to be voted out of office and soon.
