We should not be fighting amongst ourselves. I normally would never do this, but I felt it was best to just delete all the comments on this posting.

Jeremy,
I could not agree more. We are Democrats, which means we are going to have diverse viewpoints, but we must stick together. This is an important election year for this county. It is a time to make selections based upon merit, not genetics. We need to run a candidate that will be able to defeat Carnright throughout the county, not just in Kingston.

Nonetheless, we need to be civil. The candidates themselves seem to get along fine. We all should, too.

Think about why you want to vote for your candidate. If it is because of anything other than his record AND his vision for the future of the Ulster County criminal justice system. I urge you to reconsider (unless you were voting for Sennett anyway!)

Jeremy,
It is my first time in the political game, and I must say, I have read the comments that have previously been posted, and I was appaled that people would behave in such a manner. This is supposed to be a race to better the community, not a contest to see who has the most money and friends. Obviously people need to get their priorities straight, and many should be absolutely ashamed of themselves for the completely inappropriate behavior. I have known Jon for many years, and was a former client of his, and I must tell you, I do not think that there is a better candidate then him. He is a wonderful person, and the case I had was a very difficult and emotionally draining one... He was amazing and did the best he could, I could have not asked for a better attorney, or a better friend. He has a lovely wife and simply amazing daughters; he is involved in this community and has great plans to make it as beautiful, comfortable and safe as it possibly can be. All of his family members and friends are wonderful people who work hard and care about their community. Jon has been here for years, and has made his life in this County, and if people are so concerned with loyalty, then Jon should win, because HE my friends has been the most loyal to the Community AND it's Residents. I was enraged when I saw the previous comments, and think that it is such a shame that people would go through such an effort to insult and humiliate another candidate. That is not how this is supposed to go, and you know what, if this is an example of how the DA's office will be run if Jon doesn't win the office, then I will seriously consider packing my stuff up and moving my ass to Orange County, because I will be darned if I am going to have my life dictated by people who so obviously have no respect or concern for us "little" working class people.
For those of us who have jobs and work hard to make it by in this world and in this County, it is important that someone cares about us... I do not want to be ignored or insulted just because my purse is not as big as someone else's wallet.

Good Luck to all the Candidates,
regardless of what their supporters have said and done...
This is supposed to be a good thing not a bad one, so lets all try and get our acts together and be professional... It is such a shame to see people humiliating themselves because they were trying so hard to humiliate another man.

Until you do what Jon Sennett has done, you should keep your insults to yourself, and open your ears for 5 minutes and hear what this Man has to say...
IF you can't do that, then why are you even in politics anyway?

Have a good afternoon,
and I will see everyone tonight... cuz real supporters go to the conventions and meetings, rather than just writing insults on someone's blog.

Well since Jon won I guess all those other bloggers are just going to have to deal with future DA Sennett now won't they. Like the previous comment said....those who have been taking cheap shots at Jonathan should really look in the mirror because they are the problem here....not Jon.
