Shawangunk Back Williams for County Court

The Town of Shawangunk Republican Committee is pleased to announce its endorsement of Donald Williams for Ulster County Court Judge. Chairman Roger Rascoe stated that after hearing presentations by four candidates,(Marsha Weiss, Michael Kavanah, Thomas Petro and Donald Williams), the committee voted unanimously to support Williams.

“Don Williams served Ulster County in the District Attorney’s office for over 29 years and has proven himself to be a competent and dedicated public servant who has earned the respect of everyone. While the other candidates interviewed are qualified, our committee felt strongly that Williams stood above them in his overall experience in the judicial system” said Rascoe.

Rascoe added that he was pleased the committee stepped forward to take the lead and hoped that the Town of Shawangunk was the first in the County toendorse any candidate for this position. The Republican Committees from the Towns of Gardiner and New Paltz were also present to listen to the candidates at the meeting.Rascoe also reported that the Shawangunk Republican Committee also unanimously endorsed Incumbent County Clerk Nina Postupack and District 8Incumbent Legislators Glenn Noonan, Cathy Terrizzi and Ken Ronk for re-election.

I thought you were supporting Kossover?

Any lawyer-politician worth his salt should aspire a judicial seat with a ten or 14 year term.

Shawangunk is part of Ulster County, down in the southern end. The local political parties there, just like those in any Town in the County, have the right to make any endorsement they so desire.

For the record, there is no one in the race with more experience with the judicial system than Don Williams.

Jeremy, you seem to be New Paltz centric. Katz, Kossover, Sennett. All good folks, but you seemed to put the cart ahead of the horse. There is a process for selecting candidates and your endorsements seem are premature.

Jon is my best friend and Kossover would have been a great County Court Judge..the fact they are both from New Paltz have nothing to do with it.

In my opinion, County Court Judge shouldn't even be an elected position. Doesn't anyone out there care about quality of life/ crime rates around here?
Don Williams is clearly the man for this job. We are all very lucky to have him run!
My suggestion is to familiarize yourselves with our judicial system prior to voting.

Agreed, As a LEO I can not say enough positive about Don Williams. He would make an outsanding Judge and IMO any person who would pick a candidate based SOLELY on political party (Jeremy this seems to fit you) is naive and stupid. Consider me a Republocrat.

Don Williams has no chance. No Chance.

The next County Judge will be a democrat.

DEMOCRAT. THAT'S IT.

Paid for by Citizens Against Electing Facist Republicans, Mo Green, Treasurer.
