John Martino for County Legislator

John Martino has thrown his hat in the race for a seat in the Ulster County Legislature, Mr. Martino served the Kingston Common Council proudly for many years and I think he would be a great asset to Ulster County. Mr. Martino is filling a vacancy left by Mike Berardi who has chosen not to seek another term.

How hard will he campaign?

Mr. Martino is fully committed to running and will campaign very hard to win this November.

To correct my previous comment,

No you're right, he is John.

Clint Brown is expected to make an
endorsement soon in the race.

He promised to run hard against Rich Cahill. If he had, Cahill might have lost. Instead, Cahill is poised to possibly become Mayor. I don't trust Martino's promise to campaign hard.

Could the lose to Cahill be considered a lesson learned? If Martino doesn't work this time, he is done. He has a good chance with Barbara Wise leading the opposition, Jim Maloney with the Republican line only and Frank Ambrose as the spoiler on the Conservative line. Brian Cahill is a lock. The other four are fighting for one slot. Martino can get that slot if he works.

Let's remember Martino as an Alderman... Completely unaccessable to the public. NEVER returned telephone calls. Did NOT campaign and LOST because of his arrogance. Even when the public spoke he still voted against their wishes for higher taxes (eg: parking meters... yes folks he was the main proponent. he is why we now have them)The only reason he wants the job is for the health insurance. He could care less about Ulster County

That is not true. Martino cares about me and you.
