Can you explain why both Parete and Mihm voted at the Judicial Convention for a right-wing Republican over the Democrat? Luckily the Democrat won by 2 votes. Stuart Fraser voted for the Democrat.

I don't know why I'm wasting my time, you'll never post this.

To 10:25,

Even with his faults, Parete is a damn sight better than Schreibman would ever b. If you people can't see this guy's motivation from miles away, then you deserve what you get. Just look at his beahvior in his own committee. And ask yourself how competent could he be at it. this Jail indictment that just got dismissed...what lawyer in their right mind would ask a grand jury to consider a charge against someone that is two years past the statute of limitations? Regardless of what he and Carnright say, I sat on an investigative Grand Jury...the DA comes in and asks the jury to consider charges against certain people and directs them as to what those charges are. The jury does not just come up with these things on their own. This guy went in there and asked them to charge someone when he either knew, or should have known, that the charge was too old...how else do you explain that but incompetence.

Hochberg from Hurley for Dem Chair.

He's been a committee chair. He knows how to win races for dems in tough Republican districts.

If he throws his hat in, I'm supporting him--and I'm from a rogue anti-Parete town.

9:53 Ask Judge Peters, Cahill, and I beleive Work plus a few more how they feel about cross endorsements. It has been a good practice when it comes to Judicial matters concerning Albany, we give, we get. It made sense to cross endorse the incumbent this time around. Next time Dem's would call the shot. It's called smart politics.

why cross-endorse when the dems can win every time?

PS: Work wasn't cross-endorsed

Schriebman is a complete a&%hole. Good by to the Democratic Party if he wins.

Cross endorsements eliminates the public from making the choice. This is typical insider politics that turns voters off.

You don't cross-endorse when you have good candidates, period. (Just like you never allow a Wilson-Pekula when you have good candidates.) It's not "good politics." It just smacks of good old boy networks, and drives away hard working Dem supporters. I collected signatures from my constituents for those Judicial Delegates, and they basically spit in all our collective faces. I'd be willing to bet they'll have a hard time getting people to collect signatures 2 years from now.

PS. Cahill has never been cross-endorsed either.

Judge Cahill was cross endorsed. Kevin, Brian and Rich Cahill never were.

Roy Hochberg could be a Congressman. He'd make a great whatever!
