Legislator Rodriguez hits the U.C. Fair

Legislator Hector Rodriguez makes the photo blog, Ulster County's own James Carville, and I took a walk around the fair grounds discussing a variety of county issues, including the benefit of banning smoking in the County Fair Grounds. Legislator Rodriguez tells me it has passed committee and is in the works but, I guess, until then.....Legislator Rodriguez plots his next move.....
Say it ain't so? Legislator Rodriguez ponders for a moment in the GOP tent...(again with the smoking). I know legislative Minority Leader Glenn Noonan is a frequent visitor of this website so I thought he would love this picture Speaking of the GOP, I got a chance to meet Assemblyman Peter Lopez today who was very bright and just an overall nice guy.

Hector shows that he is out of touch. Smoking kills. Second hand smoke is harmful to children and people of all ages. A lit ciggarette spews a toxic cloud of 4000 chemicals. This is all proven.

We should ban smoking in all public places and in cars where children are present.

If Hector choses to poison himself that's fine. Don't make those lucky enough to be around his surpreme presence to be subjected to his cancer causing habit.

There goes all that tobacco money.

I might vote for him, simply because he smokes. Not a anti smoking nazi that's for sure.

The stuff that comes out of your TAILPIPE has 4001 chemicals, and at IDLE speed, spews the same volume that about 12,000 burning cigarettes do, per minute. Maybe we should ban driving children to the park. We should ban driving except in our own homes, secondhand exhaust kills.

We sent him back and fired the general manager that arranged that trade.

Hector is a total political opportunist. If Holley Carnwright would pay Hector for help on his campaign, Hector would be all over it

Oooooo! That last blogger said it all. I AM No smoker, but you Nazy anti-smoker people are worse than second-hand smoke. Especially when you use some excuse like "smoking" to avoid saying what they really want to say about Rodriguez. Go on, admit it, you just want to bash him. Stupidity.

I have to be honest, I think that Hector is completely and utterly arrogant... I think it was totally inappropriate for him to be smoking under the tent, there were areas that plenty of adults were smoking in, away from the children and the rides... He could have easily excused himself and walked for 20 feet instead of thinking so highly of himself, and feeling that it was not necessary for him to have any respect for those around him. he is not running for District Attorney, and he should realize this, and by his selfishness he is hurting the image of the candidate he is 'supporting'. I do not want to hear about what cigarettes do to people, I am a smoker myself, however I know that Mothers and children do not appreciate cigarette smoke, and many take it offensively. I worked in child care for several years, and never once have I even been seen with a cigarette around the building that those children were in... Sennett could have lost several potential voters just because Hector thinks who the hell he is.

Why dont you get off your high horse Hector, because lately it seems to me that you just seem to be pissing everybody off.

You are not the head honcho and your arrogance is getting a little rediculous and quite frankly unwarrented.
