It was a great event but it should also be noted that several other canidates were also present at this event such as Lenny Walker Vincent Bradley and even Matthew Ryan which were not pictured in your photo blog site people who really care about the crime problem in Kingston showed up to support our police and the fine work our new County Sherriff have been doing. noteable absent from this event was Shirley Whitlock, Rich Cahill, Mayor Sottile and almost all of the Common Council? I find that very disturbing.

No Show Shirley Whitlock again did not attend the Night Out event for people who support anti-crime pro-police in their neighborhoods. For Shirley this would have been a good event to attend considering all the crime that has recently occured in her Ward, three shootings and two stabbings in the last six days. This after she also did not attend the Make a Difference Day Celebration in her own Ward, not to mention a no show at this years Childeren's Parade event? Something tells me we have another Clint Brown in the making and for the 4th Ward that is something we can not afford to have, another two years of a no action and no progress a do nothing Alderman or women.

Vincent Bradley did attend the event, but did not seem very comfortable meeting people.

Jeremy where was Keller at this police love feast/ or any police from Kingston? and where was the police chief's cable show again this week on channel 23 at 9pm? to many stabbings and shootings to stand infront of the public and really tell it like it is.. looks like our mayor and his police chief have some humble pie to start eating and it looks as if the mayors critics were right on the money this time Midtown is crawling with crime and we all know that!.just open any local paper where is Clint Brown in all this we haven't heard a peep from that loser probably hiding under his bed with a spoon up his nose.

9:20 pm you are right. i live on downs street and i am afraid to go out of my house anymore. the gangs have taken over kingston. we need an armed citizen's patrol to take the law into their own hands as the police isnt doing anything. if we gun these hoodlums down in the street then the will go somewhere else and sell their drugs. if i wasnt in a wheelchair id start the patrol.

You should hang your head in shame

Bradley was there spent the whole time talking with M. J. Bruhn JR., not talking with anyone in attendance that he didn't know. What a joke he is. Sennett and Gilptric on the other hand worked the crowd and were well received. Even Bruhn was working the crowd after he shook Bradley off.

3:00 am....Youre right. Sadly its Bradley who is anti socisl at social events. What kind of DA will any candidate make who can't or won't work with people who he represents.

Now, I'm not for any kind of cuts in the FD or PD, HOWEVER, unless you, Anonymous 7:18 are part of the FD, WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL!? What, in your eyes, make this the number 1 issue for you?

If you are part of the FD, then I guess Anonymous 7:18 cares ONLY about Anonymous 7:18. Sound familiar?

Clint Brown is a true leader of our
Community and is a good man and he is kind. He Loves Cats and is a man of the people. To slander Mr. Brown like that is wrong. Have seen
the Alderman take money out of his pocket so that children may eat

Clint Brown knows a lot about Cats.
He is an expert

Clint Brown=Unity

It's all true: Vincent Bradley Junior has a repellant personality that walks with a limp. His odd manner and meekish smile sends small children hiding behind their parents.

Yes Clint Brown is kind to Cats. Saw him the other day feeding them in front of the Library. They call him 'Catman'

Clint Brown got my cat out of a tree once, then he tried to smoke the tree. He's a strange fella, but he gets the job done. Clint Brown for Mayor!!!

where was shirley where is shirley and what has she done and what is her plan? inquiring minds need to know?

Anonymous said...

Where was Chief Keller? Where was the Mayor? Where was Whitlock? Matt Ryan was there, Lenny Walker was there and both made it to the Council Meeting. Where were our other elected officials? Don't care where Brown was? He's being missing in "inaction" for the better part of four years. Why should now be different.

Thank goodness for Sheriff Van Blarcum. Without his leadership & vision, we would be in worse shape.

The lack of attendance by our elected officials is a symbolic indication of their weak position on safety. During an election year, at a time when violent crime has been in the news day after day, they stay home? Not only does it appear they don't care, they not even smart enough to pretend.

And the Mayor wants us to "feel" safe? Please!!! He was informed of the growing problem and denied it, ignored it and now he's doing ALL he can? 8 officers are not able to perform their duties for various reasons. Over 10% of our police force. He refused to hire more police. He said we didn't need more police. Now he says he won't stop the Council from requesting more police in the next budget. As if the current Council will do anything other than what he wants.

He drafted Whitlock so he could mold her. Ringwood, DiBella, Reynolds, Noble, Madsen, Brown, Senor rarely disagree with Sottile. What makes anyone think that will change. If Brown is replaced with Whitlock the status quo will remain. If Sottile is re-elected, the safety of residents of Kingston will be kicked to the end of his priority list again

Another shooting on clinton street looks like your spurt has become a stream and this cities top cop is tired of taking the blame for a do nothing mayor looks like he went to the press before he cleared it with Sottile. is it also true that Sottile in in Florida staying at the Herzog vacation home right now while here in the city his citizens are being shot at and stabed DAILY nice.

While it was nice to see the National Night Out mentioned in your "news", you make it sound like nothing more than a political function! The Kingston Recreation Department & the Recreation Commission put in a great deal of effort to put on this community event, but that aspect was not even mentioned. We appreciate the many community organizations involved and the sponsors who contributed to make it happen. We also appreciate the politicians who took time out of their busy schedules to attend.
Steven Schabot, Recreation Commissioner

My apologizes, the event was very well done, and I appreciate the hard work and effort that Kevin, Maryjoe, and the entire rec dept. put into this event.
