Good pick. Now just drop the Obama part and pick up a voter getter. Defense contractors and credit card companies have a dream team here. If they got in you'd be giving up your first-born for interest payments. I like Joe, but this ticket is too heavily weighted towards a corporatocracy.
Can't wait for KPA Manday night and here Cahill gloat over this bogus move by the Dems. Should have picked Hillary. By hte way have you heard about the DPW Boss who was caught stealing.
Biden! This will be so much fun. A guy who makes fun that only guys named 'Habib' work in Dunkin Donuts in Delaware, will be a riot throughout the campaign.
I think Obama did this for our entertainment, and I want to thank him. :)
Obama opted out of public funding, because he will get to keep what's left over after he loses this race. He will serve out his term in the Senate just like Kerry. But with more in his pocket.
Hillary supporters... we don't have the luxury of righteous indignation. She lost, mainly because of a terrible campaign strategy, nothing more, nothing less. It is time to come home, if you think McCain will make your life better, just look back on the last 8 years.
I agree that Biden is in danger with God when he claims to be Catholic and he shamelessly supports abortion on demand. Biden and other Christians, especially political leaders and teachers of the young, who support abortion on demand are asking for God's vengence. There is no greater arrogance of a political leader, such as Biden, who openly professes to be Catholic and continues to vote for and favor the killing of life via abortion. The arrogance of the confusion and hypocrisy that Biden is spreading among the Christian voters and the young people in schools is an example of what Catholics call a Mortal (deadly) sin. As a Catholic or Protestant, Would you want to vote some like Biden and risk your soul to hell too, by collaborating with Biden's mocking of God's Natural Law to preserve Life? I hope not. God help your soul.
As a Hill supporter and an athiest, my interests are far better protected under a McCain WH than a holy-roller like Obama. I've prospered under this economy. Indignation has nothing to do with my refusal to support the theocracy and unfettered corporate greed that Obama offers. McCain is better choice for most centrists. At least he's not a good choice for the thumpers. They're screwed if Obama loses and they'll vote against him anyway. Like chickens voting for Col. Sanders.
We are in serious trouble if DEMOCRATS are looking to vote for John McCain. There is NOTHING radical about Sen. Obama, except his decision not to take lobbyist money for his campaign. He represents a progressive view of the principles of the Democratic Party. He espouses the importance of listening to the points of view taken on the other side of the aisle; he is focused on using a practical approach to address the everyday aspects of our nation's problems, like our health, our education and employment. He is an advocate for PEACE among nations, not just for our troops.
Conversely, John McCain offers you 4 more years of the hapless foreign policy of a war mongering administartion, 4 more years of a failed economic policy aimed at fostering corporate profits above actual economic success. In short, he advocates for NOTHING NEW at a time when we really need to change our course at least SOMEWHAT, if not radically.
In 1980, hundreds of thousands of dyed-in-the-wool Democrats voted for Ronald Reagan over a sitting president from their own party. It is time for Republicans to take a realistic look at where they have led our nation and undue the harm they have done.
The Dems need to get behind B. Obama with everything they have! To do otherwise would be to (potentially) help bring in more of the same old same old, which is shamelessly (denoting a lack of conscience) stock full of shame...
H. Clinton, meanwhile, needs to get over herself... at least for this round... and go back to being the best New York State representative she can be!
The protests (re. Hillary's position) did NOT put her in a better light...
In fact, in my opinion, she (and her protesters) are making a mockery out of the Democratic Party...
Which speaks of shameless (ahem) shame (and more of the same...), as well.
I'm all for women's rights! Big time! But Michelle Obama can stand up for women's rights just as courageously and strongly as H. Clinton has --- with more (at this point) "class."
Plus, with J. Biden on the ticket... I am truly inspired all of the way around!
So what if he isn't a 100% "dyed in the wool" Catholic?
The man DID lose his first wife and child in a heartwrenching accident...
And if "same" had happened to you (which I would wish on NO-ONE) - your faith might take a few hard whacks [this might engage one's critical thinking skills...] as well!
Wishing peace and solidarity amongst Democrats - in support of Barack Obama...

Obama will not win the presidency with his pick for VP, all we can assured of is plenty of talk.

I won't gloat, but I will discuss it. Glad you will be tuning in though.

Hillary 2012!

Wake up America! It's time for a regime change!
